The Centre "Living Upright" is a local nongovernmental organisation, founded in 2002 and based in Novi Sad. It was born  from the project of Counseling Centres of psycho-social support to persons with disabilities, implemented between 2000 and 2002 by the French humanitarian nongovernmental organisation Handicap International.

Mission

To create an environment in which all human rights will be respected and the UN Standard Rules for the Equalisation of Opportunities of Persons with Disabilities implemented.

Goals

• Building the self-confidence of persons with disabilities, improving the quality of their lives
• Raising the public awareness on the position of persons with disabilities
• Creating an accessible environment for all, raising the public awareness on the need to create an accessible environment
